What we collect, where it goes, how long we keep it, and how to ask for it back or for it to be deleted.
This notice covers www.concreteinfo.in. It describes what this site actually does with what you type into it. There is no certification claimed here, and no retention period is promised that the site does not enforce. Last updated: 25/10/2026.
When you send an enquiry — from the home page, the services page, the calculators page, the formats page or the contact form — we collect:
home, services, calculators or formats-bundle — not the full address of the page you were reading. The careers form asks for the same details, plus the position you are applying for, your years of experience and a cover letter, and it lets you attach a resume file.
The Ask the Engineer form asks for your name, your email address, your question, any extra details you choose to add, the topic you pick from a closed list of seven, and whether you agreed to publication. It asks for no phone number.
Behind the eight downloadable site formats, the only thing we ask for is the email address you type.
Alongside every submission the server also records your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, so we can rate-limit the form and block abuse. In that audit log the email address is kept only as a short hash and the phone number is not kept at all. The format-download log keeps the email address in full, the format you asked for, the time, a hashed IP address and a truncated user-agent string.
The newsletter form is the one place on this site where an address is collected for a purpose that is not an enquiry. It collects an email address, an optional name, the date and time you consented, a hashed IP address and the page you subscribed from. That list is set out in full in The newsletter below.
Nothing else — except the newsletter, which is described in its own section below. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to advertising networks.
The blog has a newsletter: one email when a new technical article goes out, on concrete technology, QA/QC and construction quality. There are no promotions in it. Subscribing is separate from making an enquiry. You can subscribe without contacting us at all, and making an enquiry does not put you on the list.
The form asks for one thing — your email address. A name is optional. The tick box is unticked when the form loads and has to be ticked by you: there is no pre-ticked box, and no consent is bundled with an enquiry.
When you tick it, we record:
blog, or the name of the article you were reading; The tick box on the form reads:
Send me the ConcreteInfo newsletter — technical articles on concrete, QA/QC and construction quality. This is separate from any enquiry, and I can unsubscribe from any issue using the link in it, or by writing to you.
That is the whole consent: one clear affirmative act, by you, for the newsletter only, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. It is not bundled with anything else, it is not pre-ticked, and it can be withdrawn at any time — see How to leave the list below. We do not ask for a second confirmation, and we do not need one: the record of your consent is the tick, the time it happened and the request it came in.
We keep a subscriber on the list for 24 months from the date they last gave consent. If you tick the box again, that 24 months starts again from the new date. After 24 months without renewed consent the record is removed from the list. The site applies this itself — it is not a promise the page makes and the code ignores.
ConcreteInfo — Amit Haridas, 30 Gulmohar Paradise, DSK Vishwa Road, Dhayari, Pune 411041 — decides what is on the list and who receives it. The list is held in a file on ConcreteInfo's own hosting account, and the web server is configured to refuse that file over the web. If a mailing-list provider is configured on the site, it processes the address on our instruction, for the newsletter and nothing else, and it is given nothing else about you.
Every issue carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it removes the address from the list straight away — no login, no account, no confirmation step, no questions. If the link does not work, reply to the issue with the word “unsubscribe”, or write to amit@concreteinfo.in, and we will remove the address by hand. You can also write to us at any time to see what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.
The list is never sold. It is never passed to advertising networks. It is not used for any other marketing, it is not shared with the analytics account, and it is not used to decide what to show you on the site.
The Ask the Engineer form is a different kind of submission from an enquiry, so it is described here in full.
When you ask a question we collect:
There are two consents here, and they are separate. Agreeing to one is not agreeing to the other.
Ticking a newsletter box elsewhere on this site does not publish your question, and ticking the publication box here does not subscribe you to anything.
Your email address is never published. No question is published as written: every question is read and answered by a person before anything is published.
ConcreteInfo processes this form on ConcreteInfo's own hosting, exactly as it does the enquiry form. There is no third-party processor for this form.
Everything stays on ConcreteInfo's own hosting account:
The log files and the subscriber list are refused by the server configuration, so they cannot be fetched over the web.
Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them in order to answer you and to keep a record of the business relationship. The site does not enforce a fixed deletion date, so we will not quote you one here that we do not keep. If you want something removed, ask — see Your choices below.
The newsletter list has its own period, and it is a fixed one: 24 months from the last consent. That is stated in full in The newsletter below.
A question is kept for 24 months from the date we received it. After that we delete the question and your contact details from our queue. If the question was published, the published answer stays on the site, and we delete your name and email address from our queue 24 months after it was published.
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages and tools people use. It does not receive the contents of any form. The site's own event code drops anything that looks like an email address, and any value longer than 120 characters, before an event is sent — so no enquiry detail reaches the analytics account.
The pages load their fonts and scripts from Google's and jsDelivr's content delivery networks. Those requests carry your IP address, as every request to any website does.
The site sets no cookies. Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your own browser's local storage, on your device, and never leaves it. No advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies are set.
Write to the address below to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. We will respond.
If you subscribed to the newsletter, the quickest way to leave the list is the unsubscribe link in any issue — it needs no login and no account. Writing to us works just as well, and so does ticking the box again.
Write to amit@concreteinfo.in with the subject 'Erasure request' and quote the reference shown on screen (it begins 'q_'), or tell us roughly when you asked and what the question was about. We will delete your details and confirm in writing within 30 days. If your question has already been published, we will remove it from the site or remove your name from it.
