- Rebar diameter, spacing & count match drawing revision noted
- Cover blocks/spacers correct size & spacing (Table 16 values)
- Laps staggered; lap lengths per approved BBS
- Stirrup hooks 135° with 10φ extension in seismic zones (IS 13920)
- Chair spacing adequate for top steel (slabs/footings)
- Formwork geometry, lines & levels within IS 14687 tolerances
- Formwork supports/props computed & braced (no reuse of damaged members)
- Release agent applied, not on rebar
- Formwork joints sealed against grout loss
- Construction joint surface: laitance removed, roughened, wetted (Cl 13.4)
- Stop-ends/key joints positioned per drawing
- Embedments, sleeves, insert plates fixed & verified
- Water stops positioned & clamped
- Electrical/plumb crossings closed out
- Mix design approved & valid for grade/exposure
- Cement/SCM test certs current (within validity)
- Aggregate moisture tested; batch weights corrected
- Admixture chloride content declared (IS 9103 Cl 1.3)
- Batching plant/scales calibration valid
- Transit-time limit agreed; route clear
- Vibrators + standby available (IS 3558 immersion practice)
- Placement equipment (pump/tremie/chute) ready; free fall ≤ 1.5 m arrangement
- Weather screened: placement ≤ 40 °C; evaporation ≤ 1.0 kg/m²/h; night pour window if hot
- Curing materials (hessian/compound/ponding) on site before start
- Cube moulds, ID labels, sampling plan ready (Cl 15.2)
